So... I should mention that I'm really bad at "about" blurbs. For example, I'm writing this one on August 31, 2011, and what do you want to bet it'll sit here--unchanged--for the next decade?
Anyway. Who am I?
I'm a Midwestern transplant to Southern California. I studied speech communication and psychology at the University of Illinois, have worked for the same company since graduating college (more or less... the smallish company I worked for merged with a bigger company a few years back), and my happy little family consists of a dog, a cat, and a very-soon-to-be husband.
I love photography, even though I don't know much about taking pictures. I like to draw, paint, and be generally crafty, although I don't devote as much time to it as I wish I could. I'm a fan of puzzles and brain games. I love taking tests: personality tests, IQ tests, career tests, memory or pattern or word tests. I'm a reader, a movie goer, and a television watcher. I go to Comic Con every year, and I remember when you could still get tickets at the door.
I wish my family lived closer. I wish, in fact, that I could take all the awesome, amazing people I love and bring them here to live with me in the land of sunshine. Or else, I wish long-distance teleportation was a reality. Maybe someday.
